It is an absolute blessing that I get to travel with my family.  I don’t like to be away from my children for long periods of time, so thankfully, they’ve been with me during my stay in Los Angeles.

The day after we arrived in L.A. was my first-born’s 5th birthday, and I couldn’t help but treat him to a very special day after so much traveling.  We call him KJ, and KJ wanted to have a fun day at Universal Studios with some of my friends and their children as well.  Certainly, I was going to do everything I could to make him happy.

KJ became quick friends with the other children, and they all had a an amazing time.  It brought me great joy to see my son having so much fun in celebration of his birthday.  Family is very important to me, and I want to be sure that even though I’m a working mother, they know how much they mean to me.  I am thankful that I can make memorable moments with my children and close friends.  We all shared a special moment with KJ that day, and I know he will be able to look back on this day and smile.  Below is a quick video that recapped our fun day.  Enjoy!

I’m thrilled to be in Los Angeles right now enjoying the beautiful weather and the many sites.  L.A. is one of my favorite places, and I’m definitely taking advantage of my stay here.  This week, I spent a day at The Village in Woodland Hills.  Let me just say that this gorgeous center was just what I needed to bask in the sun and relish the sites.

I started out with a splendid lunch and sips of rosé wine at the Il Fornai Italian restaurant.  Then I strolled through The Village courtyards and appreciated the unique décor and pops of color throughout the center.  There were plenty of cute shops, of course, and I just had to make my way through the beautiful center and take it all in.  I think what I really liked about The Village was that it was designed so well for a lavish day out, yet still manages to be family friendly with decorated courtyards that are very inviting.

There’s so much more to explore in this vast city, and I can’t wait to share more!
